I had my operation in July 2017. My cancer was detected through routine mammogram. All I can say is that I echo those in previous reviews of Miss Jane's care, empathy and patience. Explaining clearly and precisely the procedure and what was to follow after. I cannot thank the staff and Miss Janes for their tireless commitment to women's health. As you can see I am now 5yrs post op. Still all clear. Thank you.

I was operated on my right breast to remove a cancerous lump on Thursday 20th January. Miss James was excellent in her care and ongoing treatment both before and immediately after the operation. She was patient and listened to me, and I found her to be professional, empathetic and caring. I felt confident in her care, and I know I was in very efficient hands. My heartfelt thanks, too, for the speed at which I was put through the system, the operation being carried out in less than two months from when I discovered the lump. All the hospital staff, especially those in recovery, were so kind and caring after my operation, and I am so grateful to them all. Special thanks to Steph Butler and another really lovely nurse whose name I didn’t take in at the time, who sat at my bedside while I recovered and attended to me with such care.

Miss James was amazing throughout my care at the L&D. She explained the procedure to me, and the outcome she predicted (which turned out to be correct) so helped me so much with the anxiety I was experiencing. She was easy to talk to but also very professional. I had a biopsy op and experienced no pain afterwards, and 3 weeks later the scar is hardly visible. I feel VERY lucky to have had such a great team looking after me and to get a benign result.

I have recently become a patient of Miss James. I am very impressed with her. She explains everything clearly, listens to my concerns, arranges tests (where appropriate) very quickly, and explains what the next step will be. If, as looks likely I will be having a mastectomy, I have every confidence in her. She is an excellent doctor. Also well done to the L&D for seeing me so quickly!
